On 11 September 2025, Mastermind Shipmanagement marked a significant milestone in the construction of its next advanced vessel with the keel laying ceremony at Huanghai Shipyard. This event symbolizes the formal start of the ship’s assembly, as the keel serves as the backbone of the vessel.
In keeping with maritime tradition, a coin was placed beneath the keel, a practice that dates back centuries and is believed to bring good luck and safe voyages to the ship and its crew. This ceremonial gesture underscores the company’s respect for seafaring heritage while embracing modern shipbuilding practices.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from Mastermind Shipmanagement, the Chinese Classification Society, and Huanghai Shipyard personnel, reflecting the close collaboration that has characterized the company’s long-standing partnership with the shipyard.
