MSM ensures compliance with environmental legislation and regulations at sea, as well as ashore; zero spillage policy, pollution prevention policy and reduction of identified environmental impacts. We further encourage the anti-pollution consciousness and a positive attitude towards pollution prevention for all employees.

Safeguarding Lives Through Systematic Safety and Health Management
We place the highest emphasis on the safe operation of our ships and the safety of our personnel, through:
- Briefing our people on company’s quality policies
- Investigating personal accidents and reporting the circumstances and findings
- Evaluating reports of near misses and significant safety deficiencies and the corrective actions
- Conducting safety inspections regularly
- Verification of compliance with the specified safety procedures, as well as national/international standards
Non-conformities are brought to the attention of the DPA and discussed in regular Safety Meetings.
The management will review the Safety and Health Policy regularly and make recommendations for amendments when necessary.

Commitment to Training, Knowledge and Career Development for All Personnel
We consider our personnel, ashore and at sea, our most important asset. We aim to provide customers with the best quality service in a safe manner, therefore adequate training of personnel is vital for us. We encourage seafarers to improve their knowledge, skills and expertise and our training is threefold, onboard the vessels, e-learning and ashore.
For onboard training we provide the following training material:
- Deck and Engine cadet training book
- Employment Record Book
- Marlearn e-learning courses
- Publication library
- Marlins “English for Seafarers”
We encourage our seafarers to enhance their knowledge and skills further and our Captains are instructed to assist seafarers in their efforts. Through proper evaluation of our seafarers successful training progress, promotion to higher ranks is possible and provided.
Via our HR Department our office employees can receive further training once the requirements have been identified by each department. Training options will be evaluated by the management and selected to ensure best quality of services.
